From MOSCOW, August 4th From some of our
friends who were at the Richter exaequies we got these few news:
On monday August 4th Richter was exposed for a wake in the Puskin museum,
where
Richter was for 11 years the artistic manager of the festival "December
evenings", each year devoted to a different great russian artistic personality.
Following the willings of Richter's wife, Nina Dorliak, there were no official
commemorations. During the wake people could listen to live music performed by the Richter
great friend and great violist Jurij Bashmet and to Richter recordings. The two friends
were secretly planning a jont performance at the Richter's festival in Tarussa, a small
town near Moscow. Then a short religious ceremony followed in the muscovite "Ivan
Voin" church. Richter has been buried in the Novodevic'e cemetery, where are also
been buried his teacher Heinrich Neuhaus, his friends Dimitri Sostakovic and Sergeij
Prokof'ev, others great musicians as Vladimir Sofronitzskij, Emil Gilels, David Ojstrach
and many others. |

funerali di Richter a Mosca abbiamo avuto queste notizie:
Lunedì 4 la bara è stata esposta in una camera ardente al Museo "Puskin", dove
Richter per 11 anni ha diretto un festival di musica e pittura dal titolo "serate di
dicembre", ogni anno dedicato ad una diversa personalità russa non solo
musicale. Per volontà della moglie Nina Dorliak non ci sono stati discrosi ufficiali. Durante la
veglia si è ascoltata musica dal vivo del violista e amico di Richter Jurij Bashmet e
registrazioni di Richter. I due amici stavano in gran segreto preparando una esibizione
assieme al festival di Richter nella cittadina di Tarussa (vicino Mosca). E' seguita una breve cerimonia religiosa nella chiesa moscovita "Ivan
Voin". E' stato sepolto nel cimitero Novodevic'e, dove riposano Heinrich Neuhaus, i suoi amici
Dimitri Sostakovic e Sergeij Prokof'ev, e importanti musicisti come Vladimir
Sofronitzskij, Emil Gilels, David Ojstrach e tanti altri. |
